What can be said about Boulder? It is a fascinating little town. Whether you are here on vacation and exploring the Pearl Street Mall, or are a regular at Twisted Pine, Boulder captures a part of you. Many of us are transplants here, and you may have met one of the elusive Boulderites, but there is something about this place that sucks us all in.
I moved to Boulder, Colorado on January 31st 2015. The number one question I get asked is, “What brought you to Boulder”. A fair question as this is certainly a destination for many people. I tried to come up with a good answer but was actually pretty naïve on what Boulder actually was until I spent some time here. So, this is why I moved to Boulder, Colorado and why you should love it here too.
Being here for eight months now, I find myself sometimes taking Boulder for granted. Fortunately in our office we constantly have international patients who help remind me how amazing Boulder actually is. Looking out the window onto 23rd street, I frequently see individuals going for a jog. Almost as common are the bikers getting to the next local coffee shop to rebrand a website. The activity of Boulder is what makes it truly unique. Have you ever lived in a place where the 65 year old population can outrun you? Only in Boulder.
There is a certain energy around Boulder as well. I don’t necessarily mean the psychic mediums or energetic healers, what I am talking about is that intangible spirit that Boulder has. Maybe it is because we are at the base of a beautiful mountain, or that Boulder is ranked the #1 city to live according to Men’s Journal Link available here.
Yes, the mountains are beautiful, the food is good, the bike trails are out of control (even worthy of taking out car lanes #Folsom), and the weather is as diverse as it is pleasant. But what I like most about Boulder is that this town is full of proactive thinkers. People here do not accept that status quo. If they are told that they have migraines or ADHD and that they will have to live with it, which is not a satisfactory answer for Boulderites. You see, when it comes to health Boulder is on a different playing field. We don’t mess around with the same old story that this medication is going to cure your problem. We are acutely aware that putting a Band-Aid over the problem is not going to give you lasting results. It is this understanding that brought me from sunny San Francisco, CA to Boulder. That people here want to maintain their health, and when something does go askew they are willing to go to the provider that can get them WELL.
That is Atlas Chiropractic of Boulder. Helping those suffering from a disorder or disease and getting them to a place where they are WELL again. Not just feeling better, but actually better.

This isn’t a quick fix or an easy process. It requires time to get you from where you are today, to where you want to be tomorrow. Working with people just like you is the reason I moved to Boulder, and I am glad I did because helping those who have lost hope get better is a thrill.
