We want to take a moment and share with you a truly inspired story.  It is the story of Marybeth and her struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.  For those of you who do not know, multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disorder where the body’s natural immune system begins to attack the brain.  This can lead to symptoms like: fatigue, trouble walking, numbness or tingling, double vision, or dizziness / vertigo to name a few.
Marybeth’s story is not unique among those we hear in the office.  She was diagnosed with MS and told by her neurologist that she ought to get a wheelchair and begin taking medication immediately.  You can imagine the shock when going in for a routine exam and leaving with this news.
Marybeth was a fitness instructor at the time and refused to believe that she would be confined to a wheelchair.  She decided that she would try alternatives to treat her multiple sclerosis.  This involved cleaning up her diet, maintaining her exercise routine, and introducing a little know procedure called upper cervical specific.  This combination allowed her to not only stay off medication, but continue to be a vibrant, active woman.
There are alternatives worth exploring if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.  Avoiding foods like gluten and processed sugars helps reduce inflammation.  Increasing supplements such as Omega-3 fatty acids and CoQ10 help support the health of your brain cells.  Staying active is key to maintaining the health of your body.  Most importantly, making sure that the brain and nervous system are functioning properly is an under explored area in traditional medicine.  As Marybeth and the hundreds of others with multiple sclerosis can tell you, that is the difference maker.  We have been helping those with MS in Boulder and across the United States for years.  Please share this information or schedule a complimentary consultation today to see if you qualify for this type of care.  Remember, your current state of health does NOT dictate your future.
