Many of our patients that were suffering from vertigo started out by taking over the counter medication to manage their symptoms.  Like most symptoms that stop you from living your daily life, you will try anything to get rid of them as soon as possible.  The unfortunate truth is this is just the beginning.  At first over the counter medication for vertigo will help, but over time the symptoms become worse and worse.  The next step I have found people take is to go to an EENT specialist.  Sometimes this helps and sometimes it doesn’t.   If the test from the EENT doctor is negative then people are told there is nothing that can be done and they will have to deal with vertigo for the rest of their lives.  Here is the point when patients just like this end up in my office.  What I tell people once they come in to our office is “you are definitely in the right place.”  And here is why:

  1. Medication can never cure you. If you understand that taking a pill will only cover up the symptom, not solve the problem, you are already on the right track to health.  I understand why you take medication for vertigo.  When your world is spinning and you feel out of control, this is a very scary place to be.  All you want is to be back to normal like you once were.  The key to being well is to find an office that is looking for a solution, not merely a cover up for your symptoms.
  1. There are 3 things that control your balance: Your eyes, ears, and the top bones in your neck.  Most people have had their eye’s and ear’s check out, but most of the time never the upper part of your neck examined.  The key component to understand is all 3 of these sensory inputs must be communicating properly together or you will get sensory mismatch.  That’s just a fancy term meaning the input to your brain is not matching up.  The result is vertigo.
  1. How our office helps people in our community overcome vertigo. As I mentioned earlier, most people have never had their upper neck evaluated before.  Our office specializes in just that.  This part of your neck act likes a fuse box and if it is turned off many problems can arise, including vertigo.

Here at Atlas Chiropractic, we use special diagnostic computerize thermography and bio-mechanical laser aligned x-rays.  Our goal is to find the cause of the problem, not just cover up the symptom. If you spend your life simply chasing symptoms, you will never truly be well and end up wasting your time and money.  I don’t know about you, but those are two things that I think are very precious.
If you are frustrated by the results you are achieving by merely managing your vertigo, our office is the perfect place for you.  In fact, I am so certain that what we do in the office will make so much sense to you that I am willing to offer a complimentary consultation with one of our Dr.’s to discuss your case and tell you if we can help you.  There is no reason why you have to live with vertigo any more. All you have to do is call the office at 303-442-5911 or enter your name and e-mail on the bottom of this page.  I look forward to talking with you soon.
There is HOPE, you can get better.  Get back to living the life you truly desire.
